Carpentras LFNH

Visited 2007 on  the way home from Italy, via the south coast of France. Carpentras is in northern Provence. The airfield has good facilities and is well positioned for the town. We stayed at the Hotel du Fiacre which was pleasant enough but a shade more upmarket than our average billet. Some of the rooms on the ground floor opened onto an enclosed courtyard where breakfast could be taken. I remember it for the slightly in your face madame d’hotel who tried to sell us the most expensive rooms.



We met in the evening for a pleasant meal in the warm Provencal air.
